6 month photos

Alli's boogers finally cleared up so we got some pictures. Tara and I did a little photo shoot out in my mom's backyard. We're going to email some to the baby contest judges. (We're still a little bitter. Alli more than me.)

Ashman/ Vanchiere/ Hille Family

Since Tara & John are leaving tomorrow, we decided to do a last minute family picture.  So here we all are.

Happy Father's Day!

It's Jeff first official Father's Day. Here's Alli and Jeff all ready for church. Jeff's such a good father. Alli loves spending time with him. I think she gets sick of me all day, so she gets really excited to see him.

The BLAZING summer sun, men's softball, and the Summerfest

What a day, I feel like we finally got a tast of summer. We started the day like any other mother-daughter duo. I got Alli all gussied up and we headed to the Senior Friendship Center for the annual Orem Baby Contest. Alli was a pro. She laughed, smiled and pulled out all her tricks. It seemed like the judges were just eating her up, but apparently there are at least 3 cuter babies in Orem. I was sure she had it in the bag! I had a moment as I walked away from the tent where the results were read. I wondered if I was the parent that thinks my child is beautiful when really...not so much. I mean, how could they turn down that face?

Poor little Alli asleep after her grueling Baby Contest audition.

Me and Alli at Jeff's softball game

Here are Jeff, Mike and Todd holding up their free T-shirt victoriously. They took third in the tournament.

When your last name is Vanchiere, 3 things run your life. 1. Family 2. BYU Football and last but certainly not least 3. Men's softball. We spend 2 nights a week and various weekends at the lovely softball park grounds so our dear husbands can live the dream.

6 Months

Alli is six months today. We took her to the doctor for her check up and her dreaded shots. She's healthy as a hog. A hog in the 6% in weight and 42% in height. Yeah, I know the 6% sounds kinda bad, but the doctor isn't worried about it. I guess her height to weight ratio is okay. He says she has good muscle tone and chubby little legs, so looks healthy, just small. He said dynamite is small too. He kept calling her dynamite, it was kinda funny.

Things she loves:
-EATING, she loves food, all food. I have given her sweet potatoes, applesauce, bananas, and carrots. She loves it. However, she has been a little backed up (if you know what I mean)
-Sleeping, thankgoodness. I'm a sleeper myself and Alli loves it as much as me. She's pretty routine, we like to get her to bed around 9pm and she wakes up at 7am to eat then goes right back to sleep til 10ish.
-People, she's starting to get sick of us I guess cause she loves any new people. She'll be in the middle of a melt down and if someone looks at her, she flips the switch and is all smiles. Jeff calls her bipolar
-Baby Einstein, I put her in her little papasan chair and put on Baby Motzart so I can get ready. And she immediately starts sucking her thumb and playing with her hair. Which leads me to the next one...
-Playing with hair, she still sucks her thumb but she's added twirling hair. She'll reach her hand up and a feel around and if she can't find any, she settles for her long patch she has in the back. My dad has thick, coarse curly hair and she really likes it. I say this all the time, but it's so funny that she's only 6 months old and already has weird little habits.
-Rolling over, she's now rolling over both ways. However, she favors rolling to her left. We really have to keep an eye on her now cause she can really move.

Well, there's more, but Jeff's pressuring me for the computer. We don't have any pictures yet, she's had a rough day. So we're going to try to get some tomorrow.

They're Here...

Tara, John and Nash came to visit this last month.  Nash and Alli are 5 months apart and we're forcing the friendship.  Nash doesn't beat her up too bad.  It's been fun having them here.

Grandma Mon

Two years ago tomorrow we lost my sweet grandma. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor at Christmas and she passed away the following June. Jeff and I were married that March and I'm so glad she was able to attend my wedding.
I have so many great memories with her. We loved sleeping over at her house. She was always so happy. She had a little bouce in her step. She came to everything, she didn't miss anything we did. And from the beginning, she loved Jeff. When he was a senior, she went to all of this football games and was down on the field taking pictures. We miss her so much and can't wait to see her again!
