Baby Alli was born December 11th at 4:50pm. She was 6lbs 3oz and 19.5 inches. The doctor kept telling us she would be in the eight pound range, even when we broke my water. So we were surprised how little she was. She has dark skin and dark hair. She was posterior so it gave her quite the conehead, but it's already gone done considerably. She's been great, barely makes a peep and sleeps all the time ( knock on wood).
As far as the delivery went, it wasn't ideal. We checked in at 5am. My doctor has suggested I been induced because my blood pressure was getting higher. I got an epideral around seven thirty/eight and fell asleep for a good three hours. It started wearing off and they tried getting more, but they ended up replacing it. That worked for another three hours before it wore off. I was dilated to a ten at 1:45pm, and I thought it was go time, but my doctor wanted me to "rest and descend for awhile. Meanwhile, my epideral wasn't working so there was no resting and minimal descending. My doctor finally came and after 5-10 minutes of pushing ( and the use of forceps ) Alli Z. was here.
