Happy Graduation, Bryce!

Jeff's brother Bryce graduation from THS today! Bryce is such a sweet kid. He's always so happy to see us and so pleasant to be around. And when we were moving, he was the first to volunteer to help. We'd like to wish him the best of luck in all his endeavors and let him know how much we love him! Mozel Tov!

Unfortunately, I was unable to take my camera to graduation (Jeff needed it for work) so we were unable to get any post graduation pics and the only picture I have of him on my computer is one from our wedding lunch 2 years ago. So here's the whole Vanchiere clan.

Thanks Grandma!

My mom got Alli a little duck tub and she loves it. She loves her morning baths. Here's a few pics from her tub this morning...

I think we may be taking too many pictures of her cause any time I get the camera out, she's ready with a big smile. But how could you get too many pictures of this face?

Sweet Little Tush

I went in to check on her last night and I just got a kick of how she was sleeping, her legs crossed and her little tushy in the air. Yeah, I know her faced is smashed against her bumper pad AND she is sleeping on her stomach. But before you pass judgement on my parenting, hear me out: 1. I orignally had the bumper pads out, but the other day I went to get her out of bed and she had both legs hanging out of the crib. 2. She rolls over herself, I place her on her back and this is what I find in the morning. 3. Since she is rolling over, she 's all over the place. She was hitting her head on the bars, so I put the bumper pads back in.

Rice Cereal Anyone?

Everyday I get told that my daughter is small or tiny. And it's true, she is a little peanut. She may not look small in her pictures, but she really is a little light-weight. I'm worried someone is going to call Children's Services on me for not feeding my child. But she's eating every 2.5 - 3 hours. So in attempts for her not to drop again in weight at her next doctor's appointment, I've started feeding her rice cereal. She does really well with it. I think she likes it.

Check out the 5 month bod. Lookin good, girl!

Dusted off the old 10 Speed

We've got big plans this summer.   We got out my old bike and JD's little cart.  There were few flat tires, but they were mostly in okay shape.   We're going to be hitting the trails!

Alli is in a 15 point restraint.   I was determined to make it work with her carseat.

Don't let the terrified look fool you, she really enjoys it.

Happy 5 Month Birthday!

Now, we really don't celebrate her birthday every month. She was 12lbs at 4 months; She doesn't seem like she has gained very much weight is last month. She still fits into a few 0-3 clothes. We're going to start bumping up her rice cereal intake to see if it helps. She's still the best. She's been really smiley this last little bit. We love having her around. Jeff and I always talk about how we feel bad for the rest of the unborn Vanchiere children cause Alli has been so good, she'll probably be our favorite. Let's be honest, parents have favorites.
This isn't the best picture of her, but it's the only on I have on my computer from this month. My dad has them all on his camera. I thought it was funny how she had her arm all propped up behind her head. This is a rare sleeping picture where her thumb is not in her mouth. I always want to wake her up when she's asleep because I love to watch her stretch. She usually lets out a few toots with each stretch.

Alli's new 'tricks' she learned this month:

* Rolling over from her back to her stomach. We thought it was cute at first, but after having to flip her over numerous times in the night... not so much. She's been demoted out of her crib back to the bassinet til she can roll herself back over. So, she's back in our room. It was probably her plan all along.

*Spitting. She's been really congested this last week with some nasty nasal drainage. And whenever I start sucking her boogers out, she starts spitting at me. I've realize she does this when she is mad or frustrated.

*She's become very ticklish. I torture her daily to get her to laugh. It's the best.

Just another day at the ballpark

We spend many afternoons at the ballpark watching JD.  I have a feeling Alli is going to be one of those girls that hang out at the Orem City Center parks in her booty shorts going from game to game watching Jax and Nash. I guess there is worse things.

I love this picture of Alli and my dad

Alli rolling over

I finally caught the magic on tape. It was 12:30am and I kept having to flip her back over cause she hates being on her stomach. I finally stayed in there and taped it to see what she was doing.

As promised...

Here are a few pics from our Jazz party. Jeff and I were definitely feeling the pressure of hosting, but I think it was enjoyable for all parties.

Alli bug sacked out on our bedroom floor. She's been rolling on to her stomach and falling asleep, so I have to keep rolling her back over. It's a fun game we play at 2:30 in the morning. And yes, there is a bunny tail on these pajamas.

The Belle, Jax, and Tate enjoying an animated film. Look at little Tate's leg, I love it!

Linds is talking about headbands here. It was a last minute photo, the party was about to wrap up.

I think this picture of Alli is hilarious. She was a little upset about being woken up.

Little Claire getting into her PJs.

Belle of Nazereth. She wore this for almost an hour I think.

Hang in there folks

So I think Alli and I need to get out more. All I have to post pictures about is her sitting in our chair. Tara's off having barbeques in St. Louis, Brittney & Brynlie are already swimming in AZ, and we've got Alli sitting in a large papsan chair. I blame the weather and the move. We're finishing up unpacking the odds & ends and haven't really left the fort this week. I feel like I'm going to lose my regular blog stalkers if I don't post something interesting soon. Hang in there, regulars. We've got a few inaugural events here at Casa de Vanchiere. We'll be hosting a Jazz fiesta and the first annual Vanchiere Cinco de Mayo celebration. (We really like our parties to have a hispanic flare. It's mainly due to my inability to cook anything but sweet pork burritos and chicken fajitas. Plus, it reminds Jeff of his time in sunny Mexico. Win, win, win) Just something to look forward to.
