"The Blessing"

We had Alli's baby blessing this last Sunday. It was great to have our family & friends there. Jeff did a great job and she didn't make a peep. Afterwards, Rhonda hosted a lunch. Let's just say a goodtime was had by all.

Simply Amazing...

I am amazed everyday by this little person. I know we brag about her all the time, but she is seriously the best. The past few nights she has been sleeping for 9-10 hours (knock on wood.) Not to mention her numerous naps during the day. And I believe it's all due to her new binky. Jeff and I put her to bed the other night, and when we went to check on her she was sucking her thumb. Heavenly Father either wants us to have a small army of children or he knows we can't handle the tough ones.

Today I layed her on the floor to change her diaper and her clothes, and when I came back here's what I saw...

THREE BAD HABBITS..... 1. I stay in my PJs a little too long sometimes. 2. I bite my lips 3. Not cleaning as often as I should. (I know, I am a disgrace to Deanna) 4. Not answering my phone, but I am good at calling back! 5. Sleeping in. Luckily, I have a daughter who enjoys sleep as much as I do.

FIVE THINGS YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT ME........ 1. I HATE cold water. I prefer it luke. 2. I hate my hair 3. I love taking baths. Unfortunately, our apartment doesn't have a tub, so it's a real treat. When we did have one though I think I may have single-handedly put Utah in a drought; I would bath 2x a day. 4. We live above a old woodshop. Classy huh? 5. I hate the snow! I'm sick of being cold and I'm sick of driving in it!

FIVE JOBS THAT I HAVE HAD..... I have worked at Ashman Candles exculsively for the last ten years or so ;), but I was working at South Towne Surgery Center assisting in procedures. Now Alli has enlisted me full time as her care taker. And in Jeff's words, "I am responsible for his meals."

St. George Photo Shoot

We went to St. George this last weekend to enjoy the nice weather and to watch JD play baseball. It was great to get out of the freezing cold and get a little sun on our pasty skin. Needless to say JD's team didn't do to well, so we had some extra time. My dad used it to do a little photo shoot of Alli. We're just about to take cuteness to a "whole notha level"

Recently she's been more aware of things. She loves sitting in her chair and looking a the frog and bunny. She's been so funny lately. She's been giving up smiles alot more and talking up a storm.

T-Minus 3 Days

Jeff wanted me to do a new post about his upcoming birthday. Although it's not til Saturday, he wanted to give everyone a heads up so they can start thinking about their heartfelt birthday wishes. Jeff will be 24 Saturday, February 16. More details about Jeff and his birthday will follow.

2 Months

Alli is two months today! We took her in for the dreaded immunizations. She was having a good time before the doctor came in. Then when she got the 4 injections, she screamed like I'd never heard before. She seems to be doing well now, no fever or anything, so hopefully we're in the clear. The doctor spent about 15 minutes going over every immunization she was going to get; reading over all the side effects, etc. It kinda makes me nervous, but I do believe they are for the better. What's everyones thoughts? For or against?

Alli weighed in at a whopping 10lbs 2oz. which placed her in the 29 percentile

Height was 22.75 which is the 70 percentile

Head Circumference was 38 which is the 35 percentile.

Call me crazy . . .

For those of you who know my family, you know my brother Sam. Alli is looking so much like him! (in a cute feminine way of course)

Tubby Time

Since our apartment doesn't have a tub, we have to bath Alli in bathroom's giant blue sink. Alli will be 8 weeks tomorrow and we're taking her in for her 2 month appointment next Monday.

Happy 54th Anniversary!

It's Grandpa Gary & Grandma Zona's 54th wedding anniversary today! I just want to tell them how much we love them! They have done so much for us and we're so grateful for them. Grandpa has always had a special place in my heart. From flying his pigeons to sweeping up hair at the barbershop, I loved spending time with him. Grandma Z is the best. She is always so loving and happy. I have so many good memories with them! We really miss them when they move to St. George for the winter and look forward to seeing them when they come back up.

We love them so much and wish them a Happy Anniversary!
