Hang in there folks

So I think Alli and I need to get out more. All I have to post pictures about is her sitting in our chair. Tara's off having barbeques in St. Louis, Brittney & Brynlie are already swimming in AZ, and we've got Alli sitting in a large papsan chair. I blame the weather and the move. We're finishing up unpacking the odds & ends and haven't really left the fort this week. I feel like I'm going to lose my regular blog stalkers if I don't post something interesting soon. Hang in there, regulars. We've got a few inaugural events here at Casa de Vanchiere. We'll be hosting a Jazz fiesta and the first annual Vanchiere Cinco de Mayo celebration. (We really like our parties to have a hispanic flare. It's mainly due to my inability to cook anything but sweet pork burritos and chicken fajitas. Plus, it reminds Jeff of his time in sunny Mexico. Win, win, win) Just something to look forward to.

Parents of the Year...

So Alli rolled over from here back to her stomach last week and Jeff and I both missed it. We normally don't leave our child unattended, but it was literally within minutes. ( I'm sure all the negligent parents say that. ) But she rolled over again tonight and .... we missed it again. She was on the floor in the living room playing with her frog, while I was tearing up a baked potato. I looked up and there she was on her stomach. So I am awarding Jeff and myself with the Parents of the Year, for missing milestones in our child's life.

We've Moved!!!!

We've moved out of the old woodshop and are now in a condo in Orem. We're still unpacking a few boxes but we're mostly already in. We'll probably be here for at least two years until Jeff granduates. We're renting from my very generous grandparents! Thanks Gramps and Grandma, we love it here!

What we've been up to

Nothing much exciting has been happening around here lately. We go to JD's baseball games everyday it seems like. Jeff, Mike and Todd played in a all day softball tournament in Delta is last Saturday. They lost in the championship game but they feel pretty good about their perfomance. Other than that not much to report.
Here are a few random pictures...
Alli trying to stay warm at one of JD's games.
It looks like she smelled something stinky

Uncle JD turned Sweet 16 a few weeks ago. Happy Birthday, Shay Dee

Post church nap. I told you it's been pretty slow around here.

4 Months

Alli was four months on Friday. We took her to the doctor today for her four month check up. She weighed 12lbs (14 percentile) and was 24.8" (72 percentile). I like to say she's tall and skinny like her mom ;). The doctor is not too worried about her weight yet. He said we could start her on a little rice cereal and it would help beef her up a bit. She's been getting a bit more fussy, but usually only when she's hungry or tired. For the most part, if you just lay her on the floor she's happy as a clam.

Daddy's Girl: Part 2

Jeff and Alli snuggling on the couch watching Baseball Tonight.

Jeff took this picture from his desk. This is Alli's favorite spot. She just watches Jeff work all day long. And whenever he looks over at her, she's got a big smile waiting for him. Needless to say, it's hard for him to get anything done.

Mrs. Kravitz

For those of you who don't know who Mrs. Kravitz is, she is the nosey neighbor on Bewitched. Usually we call my mom that cause she's always looking out her bedroom window at night whenever she hears something. Well, I heard about this website on the news that shows you all the crime in your area. I'm a little obsessed. It shows thefts, assaults, registered sex offenders, etc. I find myself checking it daily. How else am I going to hear about the purse snatching down the road or the theft of property from a motor vehicle? A girl's got to look out for herself. I found that my sister-in-law had a register sex offender living across the street and she had no idea.
The website is http://www.crimereports.com/. Just click on your state or type in your address and be sure to click on the Show sex offenders box. Utah has it all over the state but some states don't provide this. If you want to see something really disgusting, type in Los Angeles, CA and see what comes up. Am I weird or does anyone else find this interesting?
